I have decided not to immunise my two youngest children, but instead, use homoeopathic remedies as an alternative. Although I am still scarred of what I have decided, I do trust my homoeopath.
I would like to know other people's veiws on this subject.

Hi Debbie,

We used to have parties for mumps, measles, and chicken pox when our boys were young. It was a common thing in England. Best to let the catch these deseases while they're young, then worry about it when they are older. I don't like the idea of immunizations at all. However, when we moved back to the US, we were required to have the boys immunized against a whole bunch of things before they would allow them to attend public school. I believe there is a link between Autism and vaccines. So, I'm with you Debbie. On the flip side they say that Small Pox and Polio were emlinated by vacines, yet on the rise in some parts of the world. How effective are the homeopathic treaments as vacines?

Hi Anne- Marie, The effectivness of the Polio immunisation in reducing Polio is controversial. There were three polio epidemics in the USA in the 20th century, the first two declined when there was no treatment offered, in the late 1940s the decline of the third epidemic was credited to the polio vaccine although this has since been disputed.
Plus polio is at its highest in areas of poor sanitation. I'm afraid I have no idea about Small Pox.

Homoepathic prophylaxis has a very good success rate. Just to give you an example-:
a remedy called PERTUSSIN was given on a daily basis for 2 weeks to 364 cases after contact with whooping cough and not one child developed the disease. Plus, if a person contracts a disease there are remedies that can help the body fight it, therefor build up a natural immunity.

The way that immunisations work, is by injecting a vaccine directly into the body, only the antibody response is stimulated, as opposed the normal process of illness and recovery.

I was really shocked when I read what you had to do in America. It was the National Academy of Science Institute of Medicine in America ,that reported in 1993 they had found evidance that the rubella vaccine could cause short- term and long -term arthritis.

It depends on where you live - the environment. Are you inner-city? Is there a high density of people where you live? What country do you live in?
These are important questions because this information will tell you what possible exposure your child is in for.
Next and more importantly - how is your child's health? Very healthy - never sick? Allergy problems? Lots of colds?
If you choose to vaccinate, never, never vaccinate a child with a suppressed or weakened immune system. The child must be very healthy.
You can pick and choose vaccinations - maybe this and not that.
You can wait until the child is much older and all systems of the body are through the fragile stages of infancy and young children.
don't listen to the latest hype about children contracted deadly diseases. Even at the highest point of immunization, their were still children getting sick.
One more note: you can have your childs blood tested to see if there are any 'natural' immunities to certain diseases. (I have never contracted any of these diseases and when I was pregnant, my doctor purposely did blood tests to make sure I had natural immunity.)

Hi Marie, I had no idea about about blood tests for immunity, whether my GP will do this for me is another matter. But thank you I will make inquiries.

if you can find a better way to protect your kids from diseases, you go girl. If homeopathic medicine is good enough for the Queen, it's good enough for the rest of us. :)

I am of the opinon to not vaccinate. Of course, this is after my son regressed at 18 months within the same month of receiving his combo shot for hib, Dtap and some other vax. My husband and I should have gone with our gut that day but felt pressured as new parents and went ahead with it. He was in speech therapy for almost a year and we have been playing catch-up with his health and his ability to communicate with us since.
My son is now doing much better thanks in part to the homepathic remedy Silicea. The very first dose he took we saw a difference the very next morning, it was that powerful.
Now I am using dowsing for answers to my son's health questions and have a DAN doctor (who just happens to have an 11 year old autistic son) so I know he understands our hesitations. We are planning on home schooling, if possible, as one way of ridding ourselves of the need to vaccinate for school. However, the Dr. has agreed to do a titers test to make sure he is in need of the vaxs before even administering them and also separating them as far apart as possible if we do decide to get him the shots.

I would like to have more children but after what we went through with my son I am very unsure if I could handle going through these tough decisions to vax, or not, based on fear all over again. It just gets to be too much stress which is not beneficial to anyone.
Homepathic remedies work and so do herbal remedies as well. My son just recently came down with a virus and we have been using olive leaf extract. It is a natural anti-biotic, anti-fugal as well as an anti-viral, only the difference between it and the prescription type is that it leaves all the beneficial cells and bugs intact.
I would say research as much as you can but, in my experience, the research just makes me more confused and scared so I have (and am still learning to) follow my heart, my gut and my intuition on my son's health. IMO most doctor's use the scare tactics and the "better safe than sorry" routine to get parents to override their internal instincts on what is best for their child(ren).
Good luck and I wish you and your family all the best in whatever you decide. It is a very tough call to have to make.

My heart goes out to you Kat, you have really been put through it.

I too have had to learn the hard way, as I did not follow my gut feeling striaght away over my third child Melissa when she was dying, instead I listened to the doctors who I thought new best........how wrong was I.

Now I always listen to my gut feeling, although even this sometimes needs courage to follow it through when faced with Doctors.

I trust my Homeopath a lot more, as I have seen what it has done for my other children which is not short of a miracle.

Thank you so much Kat for your opinion, and for sharing your personal experience with me.

Bright Blessings to you and your family.
