Healers- Please Wear Your Smile

This weekend was a very busy for us up at the center. In addition to our readings and healings. Our favorite spiritual healer Wendy had come to town. We are all reiki master teachers at 6th Sense Connection and we are always open to new experiences and other modalitites. The spiritual healing that Rev. Wendy performs is of a high vibration and quite unique. I will stand in line and wait for her to do her healing on me. What can I say- I'm an energy junkie!
I've attended some of Rev. Wendy P. Chojnowski workshops and services before and there's no doubt about it- she's a first class healer. She's on a serious mission to release pain and suffering where ever she goes. She is a beautiful lady, full of the holy spirit and I love her, we all do. Then, it hit me- serious mission. Where is the joy in that?

While waiting to see her in Cassadaga's Temple- I was taken over with a spirit of mischief. Yes, I was making jokes and uplifting the heaviness in the air. I wondered why I was doing so. It had been a long time since I had cut up in church...when was the last time?.... About 10 years earlier, I had giggled quietly in church was when I attended the funeral of a dear friend. On the way to her service, my other friend Michelle and I got hopelessly lost. We knew Karen (our friend who had crossed over), would be laughing at us and at the antics we got up trying to find her services. We could feel her smiling with us when she saw the interesting people we met, while stopping to ask for yet another set of directions. We could see the church- we just couldn't find our way into the parking lot. It seemed that the entrance was blocked. We laughed and laughed so much, it was hard to enter church with sad somber faces.

Last Sunday evening, I was quiet enough in my mischief. At that very moment while I was sat quietly in temple, I invented a secret 6th Sense Connection handshake. I extended my hand out to shake hands with people and just at that moment before hands would connect. I would raise my hand to my face putting my thumb on my noise and wiggling my fingers. ( Okay you got me, Monty Pythons Flying Circus invented the same secret handshake back in the 1970's). Some of my friends in Temple didn't know what to do when I offered them my secret handshake. Some smiled and shook their heads- others -laughed quietly and gave me that serious look which I'm sure meant settle down. Others just did it right back to me. It was fun though- why did we need to have fun while waiting? And what was linking the two events? I am normally very respectful in any church.

Then, I remembered the week before had been Halloween- on the Friday night, I had been dressed as a nun- Mother Superior. She brought out the worst in me too, or had she? I was walking around wearing my habit smoking a fake electronic cigarette and cussing at Trick or Treaters. People were confused and wondered if we were real nuns- and why were we in Cassadaga blessing people. When they realized we weren't they were eagar to take our photo's. So, now I had 3 events that spirit was telling me were all linked.

Then, I had my A-ha moment. I was assisting in, "Make a joyful sound unto the lord". Spirit needed the light comic relief, to find an easier way into people hearts. When people are tense and serious it's harder for the spirit to move into and through them as easily. At that point- it made perfect sense to me.

So, when you're connecting into source energy in what ever faith or way you connect. Remember to wear your smile not just on your face- but also deep into your heart. It will be so much easier for you to connect to the divine and experience joy, peace, harmony, love and light.

Greetings All,
Well, I was one of the friends sitting next to Anne-Marie and she was indeed hit with a "spirit of joy (mischief)"!! As we quietly giggled, doing her new handshake... Wendy (the healer who we had come to see) suddenly put on the Mama Mia Soundtrack. Life, laughter and joy filled the temple as we began to see people sway in their seats.
Friends, we must remember to add joy and laughter to our lives daily. The pressure of life can dampen our spirits and dull our senses. It is our job to take proactive action and create a space for humor, curiosity and fun.
We often ponder what kind of humor Jesus may have had... I'm sure He is laughing at us now for how serious we take ourselves!
Lighten up (and for goodness sake, eat more chocolate)... ;)

Amen to that one sister- I 'm in full agreement with everything you said. I didn't know that was Wendy's CD - I thought it belonged to the Temple- I guess she caught the spirit too!

FYI- I Think the real Jesus has a sense of humor. If he didn't he would smite down dead the imposters that we have both met - who think they are the real Jesus :o)
