About Best American Psychics
Best American Psychics is a company dedicated to promoting ethical individuals working in the metaphysical fields. We are a directory that screens and tests our members before inclusion on our site. We believe in providing America's best to the public and, therefore, have a limited number of spaces available on our directory. Once we are convinced you are the best, and you become a member of our site, we work to promote you. We also have a brand new sister company, Best American Healers. The same principles apply here. The founder of our company, Shay Parker, is an A1R Radio Show host and interviews a guest member of one of her directories each week.
In addition to the efforts already mentioned, we own and run a non-profit organization for the rescue of animals, www.HopeThroughHavoc.org. If you are an animal lover and would like to donate, we always appreciate it. And, of course, the furry ones do more than you know.
We have three social networks: www.bestamericanpsychics.ning.com, www.bestamericanhealersnetwork.ning.com, and www.hopethroughhavoc.ning.com. You are invited to join and meet like-minded individuals. We'd love to have you.
For more information on our directories, you can visit www.bestamericanpsychics.com and/or www.bestamericanhealers.com. Please check us out!!!!

How a Spirit Changed The Mind of a Skeptic – Confirmation Along My Spiritual Journey
I have written about my journey to this point: from being a complete skeptic to opening two companies with the sole purpose of identifying and promoting ethical spiritual advisors and healers. I have talked about my animal friends and how they have affected my life and my spiritual journey. I make it my business to personally interview potential members of my directory, so I have had the opportunity to m…

Due to its history, Halloween has had a close relationship with the metaphysical. It has its roots in an ancient Celtic festival, Samhain, meaning Summer’s End. The festival was all about the death of summer and the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The world of living and the world of the dead were believed to have merged on this night. The spirits of the dead supposedly returned to the earth and this made it easier for Celtic priests to predict the future. Many of our current Halloween customs…

How A Spirit Changed the Mind of a Skeptic – Facilitators of My Spiritual Journey
If you have read any of my previous posts, you realize that I am an avid animal lover. I have been drawn to animals from a very young age. My mother tells stories of me, just shortly after I took my first steps, venturing toward all types of animals. My life has been blessed with a variety of furry and feathery beings. As soon as I was of age to get a part time job, I began working at the local veterinary h…

How A Spirit Changed the Mind of a Skeptic – The Journey Continues
Just as I began to wrap my head around humans being able to communicate with spirit and to “know” things, I was hit with the hardest blow of my life. I mentioned in my former post that I moved from my spirit-inhabited home to be closer to my family. The reason for this was that my mother became very, very ill. After being frightenely sick for months, she underwent exploratory surgery and was diagnosed with an extremely ra…

Being a very analytical and left brained person, I have always lived my life having to have proof of things. It has been very difficult for me to wrap my mind around such things as ghosts, spirits, psychic ability, or the ability to heal by touch. I had seen people get scammed by psychics and the like. Once, a friend purchased a psychic reading for me. I reluctantly went along with the reading. I came out of it thinking that it was an entertaining experience, but I was sure that the psychic’s “h…
