For those of you who haven't been to Cassadaga here a brief run down.
Cassadaga has a haunted hotel, post office, book store, temple, a park, Meeting Hall & seversl new age stores. It's residents are mainly spiritualist familes and many of them live there year round. Most of the homes are older style and many have been reburbished. There are some interesting walking trails down by the park area. Cassadaga has a major vortex and some smaller vortexes plus many lay lines. This is one of the reasons that Colby choose to buy the land and locate the camp there.

When you go to Cassadaga try and stay around till after dark as you might see some orbs. Don't forget to take your digital camera as you never know who or what will show up in your photographs, especially night time photography! You might see some spirits that weren't visible when you were actally taking the photo! The book store is the place to sign up for the ghost tour and other popular tours of the town.

It was esablished in 1894 by George P. Colby and quickly became a thriving community for Spiritualists. People come from all over the world to see Cassadaga. It was Designated a Historic District on the National Register Of Historic Places in 1991, the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association is the oldest active religious community in the Southeastern United States.

Spiritualism has seen a resurgence of interest. The "New Age Movement" has attracted many who are searching for a better way of life. Spiritualism has a wide appeal and many people from all different religions find it intriguing. The Camp welcomes not only believers, but the curious and skeptical, as well.

For those of you interested in attending a Spiritulist Church meeting, Cassadaga has church services every Sunday in the Temple Healing 10:00AM Church Service 10:30 AM. Anyone wanting to learn about the Science, Philosophy and Religion of Spiritualism may attend their Adult Lyceum. A different teacher each week will talk about Spiritualism and other related subjects.

Marilyn- come on down on Saturday or Friday afternoon- Rob many thx. It seems we're already causing a stir in the community- some of the spiritual folk up there wanted that building. As many of you as possible send love and light to them that live in Ego and would like to see close before we officially open! It seems some are confused by the love and light we send out- others just simply love us. Visualize a yellow brick road leading to our door where all that vibrate with love and light are welcome! The building is old and run down and we're fixing it up and giving it some love & light and yes- we'll have chocolate on hand too!

We hope to be open on this Friday afternoon and then again all weekend! Until we get it staffed up properly Kimilia will be there Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Jon & I will be there Fridays (by appointment only) , Saturday & Sundays. We have a couple more set to join us at the end of March. We'll be serving up love, light & chocolate!

I wish you all the best! I've been in this area since 1989 and was scared to death of Cassadaga. I then started working for a woman that ran her a/c company right down the street. I grew to enjoy going into the spiritualist book camp to stroll about and just "feel good"
With my disability, I haven't been there in ages, but I do know alot of people that enjoy Cassadaga and I shall pass the word around that you are there and go check your place out.
