I am a newbe here and I guess you might say pretty new with the tarot cards unlike you I do read the books for the definations and really would like to hear more and see your work. It is so intreeging to me about the tarot cards, I baught and am using the Crowley Thoth I do enjoy them. Blessings
Very nice reply Dan. I am indeed a very earthy person. I think the difference for me was when I let the tarot cards go and the time of my life when I noticed I was depending on them for a lot of answers and insights. I think at the time, in reflection that I was moving more towards a darker, for lack of better words, interest. I didn't realize at the time what my potential was so last I remember, there was a nasty storm. I was around 18 or so and I started doing spread after spread asking for messages from Heaven. I didn't realize then how much I pushed and pushed. When the angel books started to surface in the early to late 90s for me, I found an acceptance to an otherwise "occult" interest. So while I still practice tarot, I think I picked up the angel interest because it was at the time for me, an entrance into a social acceptance. Back to the dark times, ironically this was during the dial up internet times and information wasn't readily available for tarot or storing cards, shuffling and such. I've always designed my own spreads but for some reason, only cut the tarot cards - I don't shuffle the angels cards the same way.
Once I realized my muted ability to talk to the passed, I really went on a guides passion... so discovery has really led me on the use of cards but now, I find myself trying to discern which deck to use or to even use a deck at all. Some people are more receptive to messages from cards while others are more receptive to detailed surroundings or events of the passed. So, while I was looking at your picture, and reading your posts, I noticed your pure dedication and interest in tarot and figure I should open a new communication. I find your thinking and character very interesting and value your input.
I have a site that was opened a while back on ning, that is called card and deck spreads, but the members there don't have the experience or knowledge you have. I have sent an invite to 3 members to this site and if you're interested, I will send you an invite to the card and deck spreads site. It is a closed invitation only because the members are fairly sensitve. Most have another "hiding" spot and only go there for spreads so - with that being said and my intent clear I do hope you find my invitation welcoming and chose to explore it.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I haven't used the ascended masters deck. Not sure I would be drawn to that. I look internally for insight, the cards simply give me impressions which I then interpret. So, with that being said, I was just wondering why I would consider Tarot different than angel cards. I've honored the tarot for its detail and heritage - and the angel cards are new - well about 4 years new so I was just wanting your thoughts on the differences :)

Say, I was reading thru one of your posts on Tarot and the different techniques and thought of a question or a thought I'd share with you to receive your impression. I've done tarot for many years. A few years ago, I switched to using angel and guide cards. I don't consider Tarot Negative by any means however, in comparison to the angel and guide cards, there is different energy. What are your thoughts in comparison. I enjoy using almost any cards but I'm curious to further explore the differences in types :-)
